SUGAR SUGAR

Schmall Gallery

For a solo show in Schmall Gallery I developed a new work, exploring the boundaries between seduction and obscenity. The centre piece was a silk screened poster of an enormous mountain of ice cream and syrup. The image is composed out of more then 50 ice cream ads, looking very attractive at first side, but leaving you a little nauseous once you really take it in.

At the opening there was a small display case containing five liters of pastel coloured ice cream, slowly melting and dripping on the ground and occasionally splashing the crowd, and bitter sweet cocktails in pop rocks rimmed glasses.
